Even though Caroline and Justin didn’t actually meet during their time at the University of Virginia, they both attended as undergraduates, and have very fond memories of their four years there. I love that they both wanted to return to this special place for their engagement session, home to some of Thomas Jefferson’s most magnificent architecture, classic brick walkways, arches, columns, and rows of lush, peaceful gardens that beckon lovers and studious scholars alike.
I love when our couples bring their pups along! John and I, of all people, know how much dogs become part of the family.
I love this kissing close-up that John caught!
It wouldn’t be a complete UVa undergrad experience without a visit to the Corner, especially the iconic late night hang out, the Virginian. I love that shooting inside the Virginian was Justin’s one request when it came to their engagement photos.
And I love how moody and romantic they turned out in black and white!
Inside one of our favorite gardens…
I can’t decide whether I prefer the color or black and whites! They’re both stunning!
Some of my favorites from along the Colonnade and in front of the Rotunda…
Caroline and Justin: It was so good to finally meet you both after months of emailing back and forth! Thank you so much for having us share in your story and for being so open and real in front of our cameras. It was an incredible time together, and we can’t wait for your wedding in May!
Un abrazo fuerte,
