Charlottesville Senior Photographer: Connor

Happy Monday! The senior marathon is back this week, and I’m kicking it off with Connor’s session at the University of Virginia.

I love that Connor brought his guitar along for some of the shots!

Connor’s girlfriend, Brooke, was so sweet to come along for a little moral support. Of course we had to get a few shots of these cuties together.:)

Wishing y’all a fabulous week!

Charlottesville Wedding Photographer: Ashley + Ryan, Part Two

Welcome back!! I’m over the top excited to share with you this morning the second half of Ashley and Ryan’s dreamy Veritas Vineyard wedding just outside of Charlottesville. As if the First Look amongst the sun kissed vines and mountain vistas weren’t enough, add on top of that an outdoor ceremony with the perfect fall evening, perfect couple and a jaw-dropping sunset. Yes, I know, it sounds too good to be true, but here is the evidence…

Even though Ryan and Ashley had seen each other before the wedding, he still couldn’t take his eyes off her walking down the aisle.:)

Again, a huge shout out to Shindig Weddings and Events for pulling all the details together and to Waynesboro Florist for the fabulous flowers and centerpieces!

Check out this gorgeous cake by Favorite Cakes!

Then it was time for the toasts…
Ashley and Ryan’s first dance. Love these two!!!
Ashley and her father danced to “The Way You Do The Things You Do”, and, hands down, it was the CUTEST father-daughter dance I’ve ever seen!!
Vinyl Headlights knew how to get the party started!!
Before the night was over we wandered down to the cellar to capture this…
Ashley and Ryan: Thanks so much for being so wonderful and having such big hearts. John and I were truly honored to document such a special, special day in your lives. Thank you for sharing your love and joy for each other. We pray that would only continue to grow with each passing year. All the best!!

Charlottesville Wedding Photographer: Ashley + Ryan

I thought I would take a break from senior portraits this week to show y’all some of my favorite images from Ashley and Ryan’s stunning wedding at Veritas Vineyard. Although we hadn’t met Ashley and Ryan before the wedding we had a feeling that they were going to be extra awesome because a) they chose to get married at Veritas (one of our all time favorite venues), and b) they had the amazing women at Shindig Weddings and Events running the show. And guess what? Our hunch was right on. Both Ashley and Ryan were one hundred percent genuine, thoughtful and off the charts cute together, and Shindig did an incredible job making sure every i was dotted and t was crossed and that the day ran super smoothly. It was a total win-win!!

My day began upstairs with Ashley and her best girls in the bridal loft. I squealed with delight when I saw this Rosa Clara (yay Spain!!) gown hanging in the corner.

Everyone was all smiles as they helped Ashley prepare to walk down the aisle.

The beautiful bride!!!

Meanwhile, downstairs in the wine cellar, the guys were hanging out and finishing the last minute touches.

While the boys were busy finishing up, I snuck Ashley outside for a few portraits of her and her bridesmaids.

Pretty girls!

I was so excited when Ryan and Ashley told me they wanted to do a First Look in the vineyard. We couldn’t have asked for a more picturesque location, better lighting or sweeter couple.

Just look at Ryan’s reaction. This is why I love First Looks!!

Once the First Look was over we still had plenty of time to frolic in the vineyard. These are definitely some of my favorites from the day.

Such a good lookin’ group.:)

I love this shot of them praying right before the ceremony…

Promise me that you’ll check back tomorrow for Part Two because Ryan and Ashley’s sunset ceremony and ballroom reception are off the charts gorgeous with sweeping views of the Blue Ridge, romantic vineyard vistas and lots of lovely details. See you tomorrow with all the goodies!!
Un abrazo fuerte,

I love that deep purple color of her shoes and the bridesmaid dresses — it goes so well with the orange lilies!

Charlottesville Senior Photographer: Emily

The bags are packed and boarding passes printed out. I’ve got all my hugs and kisses dusted off for the sweet hubs and I’m ready to head back to Cali for a few days. It’s been an incredible two weeks here in Charlottesville photographing some crazy, gorgeous weddings, engagements and high school seniors, visiting with friends and eating at some of my favorite restaurants, but I’m ready to get back home for a few days and regroup before Part II on the east coast.:)

Before I go, however, I wanted to leave you with some of my favorite images from my time with sweet Emily.

I always knew Emily to have straight hair, but I am loving the natural curls!!

Such a cutie pie!

One quick outfit change and we were back outside!

Happy Monday!

When you think about fall, what comes to mind? Apple picking? Back to school? Pumpkin bread? Crisp mornings? A bowl of your favorite soup? As much as fall is all of these and more to me, it is, most notably, senior portrait time!

Get ready because October is going to be marathon senior portrait month here on el blog. To kick things off, here’s a few of my favorites from my time with Joseph (or should I say José)???:)

Un abrazo fuerte,
