If I hadn’t been teaching at the time, I definitely would have gotten married in the fall. Fall is, by far, my favorite time of year to call Virginia home, and October is the prime month. This year John and I had the treat of shooting Emily and Tom’s wedding (remember their lovely summer engagement session at UVa??) on the first day of October. It was the quintessential fall day, crisp and full of color.
The finishing touch…
Meanwhile, John met up with Tom and his groomsmen as they were finishing up getting ready….
Em, I know you don’t love having the camera pointed at you, but, dang girl, you are so gorgeous!
A stunning view + gorgeous bride =
Emily’s dad came outside to admire his daughter on her wedding day.
Emily and Tom opted for a “First Look” which we set up on the long, tree-lined road that leads you into Ash Lawn-Highland. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot!
Man, do I love this moment!
I absolutely adore this series!
Emily and her best girls…
Tom with his best man and Emily with her sweet flower girl.
What a sharp group!
Work it, ladies.
A little UVa shout out…
Emily and her dad right before he walked her down the aisle…
Don’t stray too far! Tomorrow we’ll have more from this lovely Ash Lawn-Highland wedding, complete with romance, mountain views, reception details, and lots of dancing!
